Today was Google Day in Winston-Salem. Not exactly the most rousing of holidays, but a well-orchestrated event to raise awareness for the push for Google to bring its ultra-high speed Internet here to the city.
In honor of that celebration (and in conjunction with the long anticipated paint fight photo shoot), Joanna painted Google's symbol on our rusty old truck, Ashleigh and Jacob fought with three gallons of paint, and we created our version of Google Day celebration.
Yes, they reaally did get that much paint on them. (And, actually, we kept shooting after our Google bit; the paint flew far and wide and covered even MORE surface area.)
Despite all our best efforts at consolidating the chaos, though, we did end up tracking a little paint into the house. I got my cardio workout from that, just trying to scrub the blue off the carpet before Mom got home from the pool and got mad (my hands still smell like "Resolve," though I can now attest to the brilliance of that particular cleaning agent.
Yes, they are that cute. Yes, they did have fun. And, yes, they're already planning round two.
Happy Google Day!

incredible!
Ashleigh,
Your weirdness obviously came from the Ames side of the family. If you ever come to visit us, I'm putting you in charge of finger paint for the girls.
Uncle Daniel
Great work, it must be really fun having have you control a photo shoot. I don't know you very well but I can diffinitly see you being crazy. ;)
