He spent the day setting up chairs, re-positioning chairs, hanging with his buddies, cleaning out the car. Generally, just keeping himself busy as he waited to see his bride.
Once beautified, she walked around the lake, posing for pictures, checking the time, laughing with her friends, waiting to walk down the aisle toward her groom.
They made it through the ceremony. Spoke their vows. Exchanged the rings. Kissed. Smiled. Laughed.
But its not over. Its just the beginning. As the sun set on that November day, they ended one phase of life and began a new one. As a team, they are ready to face - together - whatever life will bring them.

This wedding was all about the family and the friends who were gathered around them to celebrate their lives and the beginning of their future together. Brett's sisters welcomed Brittany to the family. Dad couldn't quite fathom giving his daughter away. Friends were ready to part-ay for the two of them (and party they did!).

And, yes, the kids were cute. A little too eager to show off their attitude...but adorable nonetheless... ;-)

Brittany was well-stocked with tissues in preparation for the toasts...but then couldn't decide whether she needed to laugh or cry at all the amazing things being said about she and her husband. (At least, that's my interpretation of the laughing-as-she-hands-him-a-tissue.)

But, in a fabulous and unprecedented move, the bride - yes, the bride - made her own wedding cake. (Amazing, no?) But even more amazing: it was the Daddy-Daughter pre-wedding event.

After Brett and Brittany cut the cake, she hollered across the room to her dad, and flashed him a thumbs-up: "It tastes good, Dad!" (She almost sounded surprised, but I doubt there was ever any real doubt as to the outcome of that masterpiece!)

And then, it was time for that part-ay. And these people knew how to do it, too! :-)
So I put my hands up/
They're playing my song/
Butterflies fly away/
I'm noddin' my head like "yeah"/
Movin' my hips like "yeah."
