He was happy. Thoroughly happy. The sparkle in his eyes matched hers, but in a different way. Yes, it was a special day, but even more special than she realized -- and his scheming was almost over.
She adores him. Can you tell?
But then it got better. Waaay better.
While they were posing for yet another picture, she was sitting daintily on the bridge and he was trying to pretend to pose while - in all actuality - was fumbling in his pocket, giving me the signal, and trying to act calm and natural.
He managed very well...until the ring got stuck as he tried to pull it out of his pocket. Yes, I said ring. And, yes, he finally got it out. And, yes, she was surprised.
And, yes, she said yes. And, yes, they were happy. Can't you tell?
Wow, huh?
I smile.
Love is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
