Sometimes, life is a little out of focus. You see the potential for beauty, you watch the sunset reflect off the water, you marvel at the tree and the grass that God made for our pleasure and His glory, you love the friend and family that show up in the picture. But in stepping back, everything is a little off-kilter, fuzzy, and partially obscured.
I'm a photographer. I can take this situation and make it beautiful. Change my position, adjust a few settings, move the subjects. Soon it becomes a beautiful image. But in life it doesn't work that way, even when I try desperately to be the director and make everything turn out like a true photograph to be proud of. In life, my hands are tied and - even when I have trouble admitting it - that's a good thing. The Master Director has every single detail completely in focus and He'll let me see it in His time.
